Anemone is a photographer, dancer/choreographer, and scenographer based in Copenhagen. Following a three-year education in professional dance and choreography at Hotstepper Dance Education and the Dance Academy, her practice began with dance — her first language, her first way of reading the world. She has performed in Paris, Berlin, and Denmark. Years on stage trained a gaze that was already spatially attuned long before she held a camera.
Her work derives from a strong interest in the notion of body/space/place, where physical and visual phenomena can unfold and communicate with its surroundings. Universes filled with presence, concentration, and sensation. Anemone strives to push the perception of the viewer to an extent where one surrenders to the conventions of the theatrical space or body movement.
She has been recognized for her performance and artistic work;, among other things, her work was featured at the opening of the UIA Conference – International Union of Architects in 2024, and she was nominated as one of the new names at Poesiens Dag / Poetry Day 2025 in Copenhagen.
